Team Be
Walking Sticks

Our secondary research found that Nordic Walking helped increase cardiovascular health. Compared to regular walking, Nordic walking helps increase heart rate and oxygen intake, and lower blood pressure. It helps lower cholesterol by increasing HDL (high-density lipoprotein) levels. We wanted to build a measuring tool to help researchers understand how Nordic Walking help reduce injury recovery time and overall health. From the research we gathered, we found a gap in long-term and diverse environment research. The measuring tools that labs used restricted participants to a lab environment and to short-term research.

Hence, we created a
portable lab
